Today I was experimenting with new ideas for decorating cupcakes and here are the pictures of what I ended up with! :)

Forty For Forty

Last week I had my first order for cakes under the name Blue Belle Cakes! It was for the 40th birthday of the local pre-school and I was asked to make 40 cup cakes and a 10' x10' sponge cake. Their logo is humpty dumpty so I made a figure of him to go on top of the big cake and did the numbers on top of the cupcakes in the colour of the uniform. For being my first time working with sugarpaste I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out! I now have lots more orders including an I-phone cake, more cake pops and a whole load more so will put up photos regularly.

Cake Pop Party!

As promised I have some pictures for you of my first attempt at cake pops!

It was a friends birthday and it has become a thing that I make a whole load of cakes and cupcakes for us all to have so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to give them a try!

I made a red velvet sponge, crumbled it up and mixed it back together with vanilla buttercream then coated them in red candy coating and white chocolate. They were absolutely lovely and I even had some left over to give to a friend when we went round to visit them....absolutely the perfect edible gift!
